According to plastic surgeons, the most common locations fat is requested to be transferred are the buttocks, breasts, and face. With new advents in liposuction, more fat can be harvested during the procedure and can be better preserved. Fat transfer is considered for patients who have the following:
Facial areas that appear creased and sunken
A desire to have a more permanent filling solution than synthetic fillers
Improving body contours, filling in scars, fill depressions, and rejuvenate hand and face
Breast reconstruction, or to disguise obvious signs of breast implants.
While fat transfer can be a good option for most people seeking cosmetic procedures, there are a few downsides to the procedure:
Time-consuming to prepare fat tissue for transfer.
More expensive than synthetic fillers.
May require multiple sessions to receive the desired look.

The very first fat grafting procedure was developed in the 19th century. In 1893, it is believed a German Plastic Surgeon, Gustav Neuber, performed the first fat grafting procedure. Neuber transferred the fat from a patient’s arm to their eye region which would help correct scars that were due to a bone infection. However, for the next 100 years or so, fat transferring had difficulty gaining popularity and acceptance. It wasn’t until the 1990’s when a New York Plastic Surgeon named Dr. Sydney Coleman began publishing articles that described the technique. The doctor described the standard techniques for fat extraction, processing and injection. Since then, the procedure has taken off and has continually gained popularity.
As for the most common areas for fat grafting, the face, breasts, hips, buttocks, hands and feet are the areas plastic surgeons tend to do the procedure on the most. With fat grafting, this is the ideal filler because there are no worries or concern of allergies, rejection or movement when injecting it. The main goal of fat transferring is to sculpt areas where age has caused the fatty deposits to deteriorate which produces more youthful results.

The Procedure
There are four basic steps to performing fat grafting.
First, the surgeons identify the areas with excess fat known as donor sites. These include the lower abdomen, hip, lower back (buttocks) and the inner or outer thighs. They apply local anesthesia or use IV sedation depending on the type of surgery.
Then they extract it by liposuction (using MicroLipo, VASER Liposuction) or harvest it using thin cannulas and other appropriate technologies.
They decant, process, and purify the adipose tissue in a special centrifuge.
The final step is re-injection into the desired areas, referred to as recipient sites
Uses
The applications include facial reconstruction and facelifts employ. It does so for individuals with scars from acne and burns. It is an anti-aging solution for people with wrinkles, eye bags, and sunken cheeks. It can remedy the effects of diseases such as hemifacial atrophy that reduce the facial volume or any facial and bodily depressions.
Breast augmentation is another frequent reason to get fat transfer surgery. It delivers a modest increase in breast size. It enables breast reconstruction for deformities and depressions. It also optimizes breast shape after breast implant procedure irregularities. Buttock augmentation, sculpting, and contouring and hand rejuvenation are other areas where surgeons apply the fat transfer technique. It rejuvenates, contours, and enhances features.
Advantages
This procedure is considered natural and marginally invasive. The body is well able to tolerate it because of the use of autologous fat (your body fat) thus reducing chances of the body rejecting it. As mentioned above, it has replaced the use of synthetic dermal fillers thus significantly decreasing the possibility of allergic reaction. The results are also quite agreeable because they look natural. It is safer and last longer than other alternatives hence making it more economical. The surgery is relatively straightforward, and healing process is fast thus minimizing downtime.

What is Zerona Laser Treatment? It is the first non-invasive laser therapy that works to contour the body and removes excess fat without the side-effects associated with surgical methods. Developed by Erchonia, this cold laser emulsifies fat, allowing it to be absorbed into the interstitial tissues. It was originally designed as an aide to traditional tumescent liposuction procedures; however, it was discovered that Zerona can also work just as effectively at melting away both fat and inches on its own.
How does Zerona work?
It’s cold laser technology disrupts the fat, allowing its contents to be released in a process called a ‘transitory pore’. Those contents are absorbed by the interstitial space that surrounds where the fat is located. The major benefit of the Zerona laser is its targeting of solely the fat. In liposuction and other traditional surgical techniques, capillaries, and the interstitial tissues are all disturbed during the procedure. This can cause bruising, pain, bleeding, and other side effects, some of them severe. With Zerona Laser Therapy, there are no compression garments to wear, and no need for potentially risky anesthesia since there is little or no pain involved. Because it is a non-invasive procedure, there is no downtime, and patients can return to their daily activities almost immediately, instead of having to wait several days as with some surgical interventions.
But does it work? In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, and multi-site study, Zerona was proven to be an effective, non-invasive procedure to melt away body fat. On average, patients lost 3.64 inches from their waist, hip, and thigh regions, where the placebo group only lost about half an inch.
As with any procedure, there may be risks involved with the Zerona laser. You should speak with your doctor about the procedure, and if it’s right for your plastic surgery needs. To speak with a professional cosmetic surgeon, contact Dr. Gregory C Roche today!
SmartLipo is a minimally invasive fat reducing procedure that is an alternative to the traditional liposuction. It helps one to effectively achieve a toned and contoured body by liquefying the fat that don’t respond to diet and exercise. This procedure uses a laser technology that will liquefy the fat and tighten skin for a more youthful appearance. During SmartLipo, the incision that’s made is so small that it doesn’t require sutures. The laser not only melts away fat, but also stimulates tissue coagulation that’ll result in minimal bleeding, bruising, and swelling, yet promote skin tissue tightening. With this procedure, general anesthesia is rarely needed, the recovery period is much shorter so patients can return to their daily routine within a couple of days.
With traditional liposuction, it’s common for patients to be left with sizeable amounts of excess skin, but with SmartLipo- it’s the opposite. After undergoing the treatment patient will leave with smoother, tighter skin with a reduction in unwanted fat deposits for a more natural look. SmartLipo can treat many areas of the body such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, upper arms, and more.
For those wanting to achieve a smoother, firmer, and tighter body, with fewer risks and faster recovery, then SmartLipo may be for you. If you’re looking for more information on SmartLipo, breast implants, or botox, contact the team at Rejuuuuve4You today.
What is liposuction?
Liposuction is most often done on the stomach, buttock, thighs, arms, back, and chin. It involves breaking down the fat in the body and removing it through suction. The procedure is often performed to remove small pouches of fat to give contour and shape to the areas of the body where it is removed. It is also often used to remove fat from areas that are difficult to lose it through dieting and exercise. The procedure is relatively common with few complications and minimal recovery time.
Can the fat return after the procedure has been completed?
After the procedure, it can take several weeks for swelling to go down and prevent the results from being apparent for a couple of months. Liposuction is not a weight loss solution, and it is important to maintain your new weight after the procedure has been completed. This can be done by maintaining a balanced and healthy diet with the calorie requirements to maintain your post liposuction weight and exercising to maintain toning.
Weight can and will return after liposuction if you fail to exercise or eat the appropriate calorie intake. The difference with weight gain after liposuction is that there is a good chance that your weight distribution will change. If you had previously gained weight on our hips and that is where you had the liposuction, you may begin to put weight on in your abdomen. It is important to remember that calories not burned or processed will end up being stored as fat. Even though it will not always return to the area where you had the liposuction procedure, it will store, that is why it is important to maintain your weight after the procedure to prevent undoing the results.
While liposuction is an excellent way to fight stubborn fat in areas where it is hard to lose, it should not be used as strictly a weight loss method. Before spending the money on a liposuction procedure, you should already have a solid diet and exercise plan in place to keep the fat off.

Brow Lift
A brow lift focuses on improving frown and wrinkle lines in areas of the face at and above the eyes. It is also known as a forehead lift because the most noticeable change is a reduction of horizontal lines creasing the forehead. The forehead is also the first place on the face that shows signs of aging. This procedure reduces the lines between the eyes and at the bridge of the nose. Creases between the eyebrows and hooded eyebrows that sag above the upper eyelids improve and assume a more youthful appearance.
Eyelid Lift
Both the upper and lower lids can be altered as well as the orbits of the eye between the brow bone and the cheek bone. The upper eyelid lift focuses on improving the appearance of lines and extra skin of the eyelids and areas of the face in close proximity. Folds of skin that sag or droop beyond the natural lines of the contour of the eyelids is removed. The lower eyelid lift decreases the puffy appearances caused by fatty deposits, permanent bags, drooping that exposes a significant portion of the eye beyond the iris, and fine lines and excess skin. While both procedures seem to be cosmetic in nature, the eyelid lift does have practical application and can improve the functionality of the eyelids and the areas surrounding the eyes.

Interested in not filling in your brows every day? Here’s what you should know:Â
Does it hurt? Depending on each person’s tolerance, the process is pretty bearable. Those with sensitive skin may find the procedure to be a bit uncomfortable, but a numbing agent is applied prior to the procedure for your comfort.
How does it work? Your eyebrow artist from Rejuuuuve4You’s office will work with you to determine the best shape, color and texture of your new eyebrows. They will then numb your brows and make tiny, hair-like cuts into the skin, giving the illusion of naturally fuller eyebrows. The pigment is bladed just below the epidermis and the most shallow part of the dermis, making extremely fine hair strokes.
How permanent is “permanent”? You’ll need a touchup four-six weeks after the initial application, but it is included with your first payment. After that, touchups are recommended as needed, as it varies person to person. Some people need touchups within six months, others after a year or two.
To learn more about the microblading process and to see what our brow artists can do for your face, contact Rejuuuuve4You’s office today for your consultation!
1. What is laser skin resurfacing?
It is a safe procedure to help rejuvenate your skin making it look healthier and younger. It involves using laser light beam to peel off any damaged skin. It results in facial perfections as it gets rid of acne, sun damaged skin, the fine lines around the eyes and mouth and blotchy brown spots
2. What is the procedure of performing laser resurfacing?
There are two procedures in the abrasive and the non-abrasive. In general, the surgeon applies the anesthetic to numb the skin. Usually scarring is not common with laser skin resurfacing if it is performed with an experienced surgeon. However, people with a tendency of excessive scarring or forming keloids are recommended to avoid the procedure.
4. Is there an age limit of getting laser resurfacing?
Laser resurfacing can be done to a person of any age with any facial damage. You can get rid of wrinkles, birthmarks, unwanted body hair, lesions and acne scars. It can also be used to treat some skin conditions such as the vitiligo.
5. How long does it take for the skin to heal after the procedure?
The healing process depends on the size of the treated area and the type of laser applied. After the procedure, the skin appears puffy and like it has been badly sun burned. You will also, experience some discomfort. It is, however, important that you take great care of the area for a fast healing process.
We’ve all done it…we really want to try out a new restaurant, but we check out the online reviews first, where the commentary is less than favorable, so instead of checking it out for ourselves, we go elsewhere. But how valid were those comments in the first place?
Unfortunately, anyone can leave a review online. You don’t have to actually be at the place or prove that you were ever there. I could go leave a comment for a doctor in Alaska right now if I wanted to, even though I’ve never been to Alaska.
So who has the time to waste to leave fake reviews? Let’s examine.
1) The Miserable Person
The person who is stuck living in their mom’s basement and wants the whole world to be miserable with them. These people are referred to in the online world as “trolls.” They offer nothing to society but annoyances. They don’t seek out one particular business to go after; they are online all day leaving all kinds of fake comments on businesses and news articles. Their only mission is to get a rise out of people.
2) The Cheapskate
You can find these people leaving negative comments about the price of things, though no one forced them to buy it in the first place. Even though it was their choice to pay for a product or service, they feel uneasy about the money they have spent and in turn, take it out on the person online. Many times they will just leave negative feedback without saying what the problem was, which is helpful to no one.
3) The Jealous Competitor
These are the worst offenders of all. These business owners have their employees leave negative comments on every site they can think of for their biggest competitors, hoping that it will deter people from choosing that business and end up instead going to theirs. Instead of relying on their own good work, they are so insecure about getting enough business on their own that they bash the competition as a means of getting business.
Your first reaction may be to feel sorry for people who have nothing better to do with their time than to leave fake reviews. Do not pity them, because their actions are not harmless. People who leave fake comments are hurting small businesses everywhere, and the businesses are left with no way to refute the untrue claims.
The best way to find out what the story really is is to talk to someone you know who has actually used the service or product. Another surefire way to find out- go in and take a look for yourself. You don’t want to miss out on the best.
