BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the country and one of our most requested services. Quick, safe and effective, BOTOX® reduces or eliminates facial lines and wrinkles for up to six months with no down time and little to no discomfort. Through a series of tiny injections, BOTOX® gives you a rejuvenated look by smoothing crow’s feet beneath the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across the forehead, worry lines around the mouth, and lines on the neck.
In addition to smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, BOTOX® may be useful for treating migraine headaches, excessive sweating, chronic back and jaw pain, and muscle spasms.
Immediately following the BOTOX® treatment, some patients may experience mild bruising, which will go away shortly. You will see your wrinkles begin to fade within 24 hours, with continued improvement over the next 5 days. The effects of BOTOX® Cosmetic typically lasts up to four moths, although many have reported results lasting up to a full year. After several BOTOX® treatments, the results may be prolonged.
BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment will relax the muscles in your face and soften the skin, giving you a more relaxed and youthful appearance. For optimum results, many patients choose to use BOTOX® in conjunction with other types of skin rejuvenation.

After seeing the improvements that Botox can make to the appearance, patients frequently ask how often they can receive Botox injections. Here is a bit of information to make that determination easier:
How long does Botox last?
Botox is not a permanent way to alter the appearance of wrinkles and lines. The blockage of the nerve signals is only temporary. Over time, the Botox treatment wears off, and the signal disruption is no longer in place.
The results from a Botox injection usually last up to 4 months. Before you receive your first injection, your physician will discuss the potential results of the treatment. In addition, he or she may start with a lower dosage of the medication to determine how your body will respond to the treatment. If lower dosages are applied, the Botox treatment will wear off more quickly.
If you start to see wrinkles and lines resurfacing, their appearance is a good indication that it’s about time to schedule another appointment for treatment.
Muscle Training
Patients who regularly receive Botox may notice that with consistent treatments, their facial muscles become trained by the therapy. Due to this tissue acclimation, you may be able to extend the periods between your injections. Still, due to the dramatically positive results that can be achieved with Botox, you may be anxious to return for the next scheduled treatment.
Although Botox is safe, abuse of the treatment is not recommended, it is suggested that a hiatus of three to four months between treatments.
