The Diva Treatment: A Breakthrough Innovation for Women of All Ages
DIVA Treatment Overview
While lasers in your feminine area can sound a bit terrifying, rest assured that the procedure is safe and effective. High precision automation allows the treatment to be performed with limited user variability and a high rate of consistency each time.
The procedure begins when the technician inserts a strengthened quartz dilator to expand and flatten your vaginal tunnel. Next, hybrid fractional laser technology is used to deliver ablative and non-ablative wavelengths that cleanse the vagina. Depending on your needs, the treatment can be adjusted to give you optimum results.
Overall, the treatment takes only three to five minutes, on average! For best results, you will need one to three treatments four weeks apart, then an additional treatment every six to 12 months.
What Are The Benefits of DIVA?

Long known for providing a suite of best-in-class energy-based technologies on its singular expandable platform, the JOULETM, Sciton realized the need to expand its applications for treating womenâs health because the majority of end patients are women going through various life milestones who would like to address health as well as aesthetic issues.
âAs we develop our next generation of products, we regularly correspond with long-time users and recognize the need to apply our existing technologies to this particular space. Women have unique feminine issues that refined energy-based solutions can address, and it clearly makes sense for us to complement our current portfolio with a new suite of products focused on women,â said CEO Jim Hobart.
Sciton is also premiering its first product for the improvement of vaginal tissue. diVa, the first Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFLTM) for laser vaginal therapy, will be launched January 2016. diVa utilizes the revolutionary HFL technology developed for HaloTM, the worldâs first and only hybrid fractional laser, to provide independent levels of ablation and coagulation, as well as varying levels of density. This allows the provider to customize the treatment based on the patientâs desired results.
Speaking on the need in the marketplace for a laser like diVa, Dr. Lionel Meadows, Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, said, âMany patients young and old ask me daily if there is a nonsurgical, non-hormonal solution to improve the quality of their vaginal tissue. I can now recommend diVa.â
diVa is safe and suitable for women of all ages who may be interested in a resurfacing treatment to improve the quality of their vaginal tissue. The ergonomic, automated design of the hand-piece allows for a full treatment of the vaginal canal in approximately three to five minutes, with little to no discomfort to the patient and increased efficiency for the healthcare provider. âWith diVa, physicians have an innovative way to treat feminine health. Weâre excited to share the new features in diVa that exhibit Scitonâs commitment to excellence in resurfacing technology. This product uniquely incorporates High Precision Automation (HPA), using a refined motorized control system for the provider to deliver very fast, consistent, and predictable treatments for every patient. Additionally, we designed a single-use Strengthened Quartz Dilator (SQD) to be used with each patient, which eliminates the risk of cross-contamination and shortens downtime between treatments,â said President Dan Negus.

What Is diVa?
With diVa, the usage of the worldâs first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser technology is used to resurface the layers of the vaginal wall. The vaginal wall tissues will then be replaced and resurfaced with new and healthy tissue. With the increased layers of glycogen and blood supply, patients will notice an increase in vaginal lubrication, reduced discomfort during intercourse and increased sensitivity. Deeper treatments of diVa can strengthen the pelvic floor muscles which can improve the symptoms of urinary incontinence.
Who Are Good Candidates for DiVa?
Anyone Who Has Given Childbirth
Giving birth tends to stretch out the vaginal canal and any surrounding tissue causing a weak pelvic floor. Sometimes the vaginal tissues may not return back to how they were before childbirth thus causing urinary incontinence. When one sneezes, coughs, or any other physical activity, this may cause unexpected and involuntary urine leakage.
Anyone with Reduced Estrogen Levels
When a woman goes through menopause (or other events such as a hysterectomy or chemotherapy), the estrogen levels tend to reduce which can result in thinning, inflammation and drying of the vaginal walls. This can cause some discomfort during sexual intercourse.
The diVa procedure requires a series of just 3 treatments which are spaced 3-4 weeks apart and are 5 minutes or less. The recovery is pain-free with no downtime except to abstain from intercourse for 48 hours.
The diVa treatment can be life changing for some women. If you’re thinking about getting the diVa treatment, it’s important to consult with your doctor to ensure the procedure is safe for you.
This treatment can alter the expression of genes associated with the aging process. This technology provides a functional change, rather than cosmetic, to promote a youthful appearance for women. This treatment is ideal for any woman looking to attain a more youthful, natural, and rejuvenated appearance.
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan- April 22, 2016Â – Rejuuuuve4You, Southeast Michiganâs double board certified cosmetic surgeon, has never failed with his new and innovative treatments he offers to his patients. He is now offering the Forever Young BBL treatment, a safe, light-based treatment with groundbreaking clinical evidence supporting anti-aging and the reversal of skin damage.
âNo one likes aging, especially when it starts to become obvious on the face. Iâm frequently asked by my patients if there is any ability for them to slow down their aging process in a safe, non-cosmetic way. This treatment is the solutionâ says Rejuuuuve4You.
Scientific evidence demonstrates that regular maintenance treatments using Forever Young BBL functionally rejuvenates skin and delays skin aging. This treatment uses the only device that has been shown, and proven, to change the expression of genes associated with aging, longevity, and increased lifespan. With regular Forever Young BBL treatments, patients’ skin looks clear, smooth, and much younger.
âItâs extremely easy for me to select the perfect setting during a treatment for my patients. It allows them to obtain the maximum results possible, in the safest and most comfortable wayâ adds Roche.
BBL works by manipulating genes to more closely resemble those of young skin by providing a functional change, rather than simply a cosmetic promotion of youthful appearance. BBL treatments promote the appearance of youthful skin, which may be due to the differences observed in gene expression patterns of aged skin becoming more like young skin. This treatment improves the appearance of acne, sun spots, freckles, pigmented lesions, and vascular conditions. Simply put, any patient looking to attain a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance is an ideal candidate for this treatment.
âIn the cosmetic world, finding a clinically sound solution for anti-aging is critical. As surgeon, itâs exciting to know there is a safe way to do this and make it available for all my patientsâ says Roche.

The CO2 laser is the standard treatment for fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged oil glands, scars, and other skin issues. The most recent version of the CO2 laser utilizes short light pulse energy to remove thin layers of skin with minimal heat damage. The Erbium laser removes surface-level and moderately deep wrinkles in the face, chest, neck, or hands, and is often a much better choice for people with darker skin.
Unlike traditional CO2 lasers used in resurfacing treatments, the Erbium laser causes fewer side effects after treatment. In many cases, CO2 laser treatments cause side-effects that include redness, swelling, and bruising. These issues mean that resurfacing with a CO2 laser can take up to two weeks to recover completely from. The Erbium laser causes fewer of these issues, so recovery time from the procedure is dramatically shortened; most cases will heal in approximately one week, depending on the procedure.
Like most resurfacing procedures, treatment with the Erbium laser is generally considered a cosmetic procedure. As a result, most insurance companies will not cover the costs of a resurfacing procedure unless you are receiving it to cover disfiguring scars, remove pre-cancerous growths, or are having some other treatment deemed medically necessary. If you have questions about the procedure, about how to pay for it, or about how it may benefit you, you should speak with your doctor. Most offices provide financing options for procedures not covered by insurance, and your doctor can explain the treatment, its benefits, and its risks.
The surgical options vary depending on the amount of correction needed and whether you already have implants. If you don’t, the surgeon may use one implant, or two different sizes (volumes) to make breasts symmetrical. If you already have implants, the surgeon will resize the breast and perhaps even re position the implant on the chest. A breast lift or breast reduction can also be performed to achieve better symmetry.
The Surgical Procedure
The surgeon creates a detailed surgical plan, makes detailed markings on each breast prior to surgery, and selects sizer implants. The procedure usually takes 1-2 hours.
After Surgery
A 5-7 day recovery period is typical for implant first-timers. Doctors wonât allow you to drive or do any heavy lifting for up to two weeks. If youâve had implants, and surgeons are merely replacing or resizing, there is much less recovery time because your chest muscles have already been stretched to accommodate the implant, so there is very little pain or discomfort with this surgical option.
Possible Complications
Any foreign object, like a breast implant, placed in the body triggers the bodyâs natural defenses to form a thin tissue lining around the object to wall it off. This is a normal response, but it can cause capsule contracture in some cases, because your body naturally tries to shrink this tissue lining. So, in some patients, the implant becomes tightened and squeezed and makes the breast implant feel hard and not look natural. Capsular contracture is the most common post-surgery complication and usually occurs within the first several months after breast augmentation surgery. There are several precautions surgeons can take before surgery to reduce this likelihood, but if you do develop contracture, another surgery may be needed to correct it.
If you decided to have a mastectomy with no cancer diagnosis involved, it is likely that you can go ahead and have your breast reconstruction with no problem. However, if you have had a cancer diagnosis this changes things a little.
Some women may have to undergo more chemotherapy or radiation after their mastectomy, so this will delay or prevent a breast reconstruction surgery. If this is the case for you, it is best to wait and talk with your doctor about any further treatment requirements and get his or her professional opinion on when you will be able to schedule this surgery.
Radiation and Overall Health
If you require more radiation and chemotherapy after you mastectomy, you will need to let the tissue in the breast area of the body. The general time frame for this is approximately 4-6 months, but will be determined by a professional.
Often times after radiation and chemo, our bodies are in poor health or weakened. Other medical issues, such as diabetes or circulation problems also need to be taken into consideration. Your surgeon will cover all of these potential problems when determining if you are eligible for breast reconstruction.
If you have recently undergone a mastectomy, it is best to wait and talk with your surgeon and doctor to determine when you are able to have breast reconstruction surgery done. In general, women can expect to wait 4-6 months after chemo or radiation is completed.
Breast implants are a fantastic way to amp up your look and to give you the added boost of confidence that you may have been lacking. That being said, there are some different factors to consider when it comes to your breast implants and how you choose what size to have ultimately used.
The first factor is the size of your breast before the augmentation. Very small breasts, for example a size A cup, may not be able to handle a size D implant for a few different reasons. For starters, a breast implant uses the existing tissue and skin to house the new implant. Very small breast simply do not have enough tissue and skin to cover very large implants.
The next factor to keep in mind is your overall height and weight at the time of the augmentation. We have all seen it, those itty bitty women with size FF breasts. If that is the path you want to take, certainly take it, but if you want more natural looking implants your size does make a difference. Petite women look best with smaller breast so if you are say five foot tall and weigh 120 lbs, a small C cup would fit nicely.
The last thing to keep in mind is that larger breasts may lead to complications down the road. Larger implants will still cause sagging just like larger natural breasts, they will cause backaches, and they will make it difficult to find clothes that fit properly. Your surgeon will likely have a software program on hand that can show you what you would look like with the size breast you are considering so that you can get a better picture before you decide. They will also make suggestions to help make the process easier overall.
